Brian Gaab is the principal of strategy and innovation for CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA insurer. The company has been serving AAA members for over 100 years offering automobile, homeowners, and other personal lines of insurance through partnerships with AAA clubs. CSAA Insurance Group is rated A by A.M. Best and is one of the top property and casualty personal lines insurers in the United States.
Brian joined the company in 2013, building out a strategic planning function, including strategic initiative development and market analysis. He serves in leadership roles for management of the company’s connected home and product development lifecycle. In 2015, Brian began the new Strategy & Innovation function for CSAA IG where he focuses on corporate strategy and implementing new technologies inside the company to make insurance simple, proactive, and personal.
Prior to joining CSAA Insurance Group, Brian was an management consultant at Booz & Co and Alvarez & Marsal LLC. For 6 years in consulting, Brian worked with executive level management to address critical business issues and develop actionable strategies that improved overall company performance. Brian’s Fortune 500 clients came from many industries, including CPG, technology, financial services, eCommerce, utilities, retail, automotive and healthcare. Brian is a graduate of UC Berkeley.
