Dr. Christy Aroopala is an Associate Director of Customer Analytics & Insights at AIG, where she focuses on utilizing predictive analytics to improve the customer experience. Prior to joining AIG, Dr. Aroopala worked at VMware, conducting analytics on customer loyalty and product satisfaction. She also worked for several years as a data scientist, developing predictive models of customer retention, customer loyalty, and top performance on key performance indicators across industries, as well as developing and delivering client workshops on analytics methodology for business use cases. Dr. Aroopala has over 15 years of experience in research and data science. She has a Ph.D. in Political Science from Rice University, with a focus on research methodology, experimental design, and statistics. She also completed a post-doctoral research fellowship at Yale University, where she taught political behavior courses and conducted research on factors most likely to improve responsiveness to targeted messages.
